A labeling machine is industrial equipment designed to automate the labeling process in production lines. It replaces manual operations with consistent, high-speed output that reduces labor costs, improves quality control, and increases throughput.
These machines serve diverse industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, and consumer goods — from compact semi-automatic units to fully automated high-speed systems.

Applies self-adhesive labels to cylindrical containers — wrap-around style on wine bottles, sauce bottles, cosmetic jars, and chemical drums. The container rotates while the label is dispensed from a roll. Semi-automatic models require the operator to place and remove each bottle; automatic models use an infeed screw and timing worm for continuous operation at 20–200+ bottles/min.
Applies labels to flat or slightly curved surfaces — boxes, cartons, pouches, lids, and bags. Uses a wipe-on or tamp-blow applicator. Common for carton top labeling (shipping, barcodes), pouch front labeling, and case side labeling. Speed: 20–100+ items/min. Vacuum belt hold-down keeps flat items stable during label application.
Applies two labels (front and back) simultaneously to round, oval, or square containers — common for shampoo, condiments, sauces, and beverages. Uses twin dispensing heads with synchronized timing. Handles bottle neck diameters from 18–120mm and body diameters up to 120mm. Changeover between bottle sizes typically uses a quick-adjust star wheel.
Applies full-body shrink sleeves (PET, OPS, PVC film) that conform to the container shape when heated. Provides 360° decoration, works on complex shapes, and offers tamper-evident neck banding. The machine cuts the sleeve from a roll, feeds it over the container, then a steam or infrared tunnel shrinks it to fit. Speed: 50–400+ containers/min.
Combines a thermal transfer printer with a label applicator — prints variable data (batch number, date, barcode, shipping label) and applies it in one operation. Used for case labeling, pallet labeling, and compliance labeling where each label is unique. Applicator options: tamp, blow, or wipe-on depending on surface and speed.
Applies labels to the top surface of products moving on a conveyor — flat pouches, trays, boxes, books, and baked goods. A pressure belt or roller presses the label onto the surface. Often paired with a bottom labeler for dual-sided applications. Speed: 20–150 items/min depending on label size and product stability.
Standard lead times run 15–30 days for stock models and 30–60 days for custom builds. Sea freight takes 15–35 days depending on destination; most factories ship FOB Chinese ports and work with your freight forwarder.
