Filling Machines

Filling selection starts with the product — viscosity, particles, corrosiveness — then checks fill range, container geometry and target output. The method follows from those inputs, not the other way round.

Filling methods, and what decides between them

  • Servo piston fillers — A metered piston stroke fills by displacement — the standard choice for viscous pastes, creams and sauces where fill volume must hold across batch changes.
  • Gear-pump and timed-flow fillers — Volumetric metering for free-flowing liquids; gear pumps hold accuracy on thinner products and repeat the same volume without a product-specific piston size.
  • Auger (powder) and specialty fillers — Powders meter by auger tooling against bulk density, and granules or corrosive products move into weight-loss or specialty concepts — matched product-by-product.

The deciding inputs are the same across methods: product form and viscosity (or particle size), fill volume or range per container, container drawing and material, and target output with shift pattern. Our longer guides cover the trade-offs in detail:

Method descriptions above are cross-checked against the manufacturer parameter tables behind our published fillers — ZONESUN and Cleveland Equipment — and against our own published guides. Model-level performance figures are not asserted from marketing pages; they come only from a machine's own parameter table, and catalogue speeds are condition-dependent (material, bottle size), not guaranteed output.

Published machines in this family

Both standalone fillers are published with field-level sourced specifications (fill range, speed, power, dimensions traced to the manufacturer parameter table); one carries owner-confirmed measured output, 316L contact parts and an FOB price band, the other a published cash price — each on its own page. Powder filling is its own family with a published auger powder filler.

What we need to quote a filler

  • Product form and viscosity (or particle size for particulates)
  • Fill volume or range per container
  • Container drawing or dimensions, and material
  • Target output and shift pattern

Scope, limits and what stays unconfirmed

We map product form, viscosity or particle behaviour, fill volume, container and target output before recommending a filling family. Powder flow, bulk density, dust control and dose range determine whether a powder-filling concept is workable.

When this applies

  • You know the product (or can send data on viscosity, particles or corrosiveness) and the container it goes into.
  • You have a target output in units per minute or per shift, even an approximate one.
  • You are comparing filling concepts — servo piston, gear pump, timed flow — rather than asking for one specific model.

Limits

  • Catalogue speeds are condition-dependent (material and bottle size), not guaranteed output.
  • Fill accuracy below ±0.5% generally needs a trial with your actual product; it is not asserted from a datasheet.
  • Corrosive or solvent-bearing products narrow the safe equipment set — confirm before quoting.

What you get

  • A written machine shortlist with the assumptions stated
  • A side-by-side specification comparison drawn from sourced parameter tables
  • A supplier question list covering the points the datasheets do not answer

Verified so far

  • Two filling models are published with field-level sourced specifications (fill range, speed, power, dimensions each traced to the manufacturer parameter table).
  • One model carries owner-confirmed measured output (40–60 bottles/min at stated viscosity conditions), filling accuracy, 316L contact parts and an FOB price band.
  • One model carries a published cash price ($7,255) alongside its sourced specs.

Still unconfirmed

  • Lead time is confirmed for one model only (25–35 days); the rest remain quotation items.
  • Site installation, commissioning and operator training are not part of the stated service scope.

Confirm before quoting

  • Product and container material must be confirmed for every project.
  • Contact-part finish and cleanability are quote-confirmed.
  • Fill accuracy and repeatability require a product-specific trial.

Buyer question

What should I provide for a filling-machine shortlist? Product form, viscosity or particle size, fill range, container drawing and target output.

Supply through own production plus outsourcing

PackHub fulfils filling requirements through own production plus a vetted outsourcing network, so the family is not capped by a single factory floor. Standalone fillers, powder-filling tooling and complete filling stations inside a monoblock line are all quotable; whichever factory builds it, PackHub stays the one counterparty for specification verification, pre-shipment inspection and export.
