Packaging machine comparison: which machine fits your product, pack and output?

Buyers usually arrive at this decision from three directions: what the machine must do to the package (fill, cap, seal, label, carton), what form the product takes (thin liquid, viscous paste, powder), and what output the line needs. The tables below line the machine families up against all three, using only the figures from each listed model's own parameter table. Where a figure is not on record, the cell says so instead of guessing.

Filling line scene: bottles moving through a filling machine during production

The figures describe the specific models listed on this site, under the source's stated conditions. They are reference points for shortlisting — the final configuration must be confirmed against your actual product and production line before purchase.

Comparison 1 · Task and package form → machine family

Start from the job the machine does to the package. Each family links to its hub page, where every listed model is compared in detail; each row also links the inquiry desk so a configuration question can go straight to a quotation.

Task (what the machine does)Machine familyListed modelsCompare & quote
Fill liquids and pastes into bottles, tubes and jars Filling machines 3 models — piston and servo-piston principles Compare models · Request quote
Dose powders and granules into bottles and cans Powder filling machines 1 model — auger/screw dosing Compare models · Request quote
Apply and torque screw, sprayer or pilfer-proof caps Capping machines 3 models — inline servo screw cappers and a ROPP roll-thread capper Compare models · Request quote
Seal bags and induction-seal foil liners onto bottles Sealing machines 2 models — continuous band sealer, electromagnetic induction sealer Compare models · Request quote
Label round containers and flat surfaces Labeling machines 3 models — round-bottle and flat-surface labelers Compare models · Request quote
Erect, load and close cartons around the product Cartoning machines 2 models — horizontal continuous-motion and vertical cartoners Compare models · Request quote
Run unscrambling, filling, capping and labeling as one line Packaging lines 1 full line — filling + capping + labeling Compare models · Request quote

How to read this table: a family is the right first stop when the task matches the row. It does not mean every model in the family suits your product — the next two tables narrow by product form and capacity, and the model pages carry the full parameter tables.

Comparison 2 · Product form → which filler

Filling is where product form decides the dosing principle first and the speed second. The matchings below follow the catalog descriptions of the listed models.

Product formMatching listed modelsFill / dose rangeCapacity
Free-flowing liquids (beverages, oils, detergents) Cleveland SGP-D (piston, "creams and liquids") · ZONESUN full-automatic line (liquid filling integrated) 3.5 - 33.5 oz / 100ml - 1000ml Per Head (per head, SGP-D) 0-30 cycles per minute per head (SGP-D); 20–60 bottles/min (line)
Viscous liquids, creams and pastes (cosmetics, food sauces, ointments) ZONESUN ZS-YT12T-12PX (12-nozzle servo paste filler) · Cleveland SGP-D (pneumatic piston) · ZONESUN ZS-FM250 (dual-color swirl paste, heated hopper) YT12T: 100–1000ml (customizable) · SGP-D: 3.5 - 33.5 oz / 100ml - 1000ml Per Head · FM250: 30–250g / 50g YT12T: 30–70 bottles/min · SGP-D: 0-30 cycles per minute per head · FM250: Approx. 200–600 PBH (based on filling volume and bottle size)
Powders and granules (food, chemical, pharmaceutical) ZONESUN ZS-F M1A (single-head auger powder filler, bottles up to 100 mm diameter) Confirm via inquiry 10–15 pcs/min

How to read this table: the fill ranges are what each model's parameter table states — "customizable" where the source says so. Viscosity, foaming and particle size shift real throughput away from the stated reference speed, which is why the capacity column repeats the conditions language rather than rounding it into one number. High-speed liquid lines beyond the listed models are quoted through inquiry rather than shown here, because no such model is on record in the catalog yet.

Comparison 3 · Capacity: every listed model side by side

One row per model, figures exactly as the parameter tables state them. Speeds are stated under each source's own conditions (bottle size, fill volume, product), so treat them as band boundaries, not guarantees. A blank on record reads "Confirm via inquiry".

How to read this table: capacities are not directly comparable across families — a capper's bottles/min and a cartoner's cartons/min describe different constraints, and a band sealer is rated in metres of film per minute. Within a family, compare the range column against your container before comparing speeds. Interchanging a model into a duty it was not sourced for is exactly the mistake this page exists to prevent.

From shortlist to configuration

The comparison narrows the field; it cannot finalize it. Container drawings, product viscosity or powder bulk density, cap and label samples, and the upstream/downstream machines the unit must synchronize with all move the answer. Send those with the inquiry and the quotation comes back against your actual configuration — or start from the interactive machine finder if you would rather shortlist by task.
